A family. Six extraordinary children. A lasting promise.

Building a life where every child can be safe, supported, and at home.

Big Dave Legacy Trust

A home built around them
Not around their limitations.

Why we are here

Love can be limitless.
A family's resources are not.

Their parents work, advocate, coordinate care, and use every government and community resource available. Still, the practical and financial demands of raising six children with significant needs extend far beyond what any two parents can meet alone.

Meet the family

Six children.
Six individual lives.

They share a home and a family, but each child has a distinct personality, different strengths, and needs that will change over time. The goal is not simply to provide care. It is to make room for each child to belong, grow, and experience a life shaped around who they are.

01

Belonging

A family home where the children can live together, participate fully, and remain connected to the people who know them best.

02

Independence

Spaces, equipment, and support that help each child do more for themselves—with dignity and appropriate assistance.

03

Continuity

A durable plan that can support the children through changing needs, adulthood, and whatever the future brings.

Current project estimate≈ $1.2 million

Land, construction, accessibility, and the specialized spaces the children require.

The new home

A home designed for real life—not retrofitted around barriers.

The family's current home cannot safely or practically meet the children's combined needs. The proposed home will be planned from the beginning around accessibility, supervision, durable materials, personal space, and the daily realities of caring for six children.

  • Accessible movement and safer transitions
  • Purpose-built bedrooms, bathrooms, and care spaces
  • Room for therapy, equipment, learning, and play
  • A setting capable of adapting as the children grow

See the story

More than a project.
A family's future.

Our short film will introduce the children, show the realities of daily life, and explain why this home and long-term support matter.

A careful, accountable structure

Support that stays focused on the children.

Contributions are not simply handed to the family for unrestricted use. The Big Dave Legacy Trust provides a dedicated structure for managing resources and using them for the children's benefit.

Dedicated funds

Resources are held and administered through the Trust for the children and their qualifying needs.

Existing resources first

The family actively uses needs-based government assistance and available community programs to their fullest practical extent.

Built for the long term

The Trust can support the home project now and help address needs that traditional resources cannot cover over the children's lifetimes.

Ways to help

Every meaningful connection can move this family forward.

Financial support matters, but it is not the only way to help. A connection to a foundation, an accessibility resource, a contractor, a service program, or someone who understands this kind of project may be equally valuable.
